More than 71 terrorists were killed in Balochistan during 96 hours, ISPR
RAWALPINDI – Security forces have killed more than 71 terrorists in operations in different areas of Balochistan during the last 96 hours, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
According to the army’s media wing, security forces are conducting operations in different parts of the province against what it describes as the Indian-sponsored Fitna-ul-Khawarij and Fitna-ul-Hindustan.
ISPR said that security forces conducted a major operation in Shaaban area of Quetta in which 33 terrorists have been killed so far. Several hideouts of terrorists were also cleared, while a huge quantity of arms, ammunition and explosives were recovered.
The army said 23 terrorists were killed during operations in the last 72 hours, while security forces cleared a large area of militants.
According to the ISPR, these operations also helped to eliminate the threat posed by the two groups to the local population. Huge quantity of arms and ammunitions were recovered during separate operations in Nushki and Mand.
ISPR says that more than 71 terrorists were killed across Balochistan during the last 96 hours as part of ongoing counter-terrorism operations.
The military’s media wing said the operations in Shaaban and other areas dealt a major blow to Indian-backed Afghan proxies.
It added that the anti-terror campaign would continue with determination as part of the government’s “major stability” initiative, while security forces and law enforcement agencies remained committed to combating what it described as foreign-sponsored terrorism.
Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari praised the security forces for their operations against militants in Balochistan.
According to a statement issued by the media wing of the President’s Secretariat, Zardari commended the security forces for killing more than 71 terrorists during Operation Shaaban and other operations across the province.
The president praised the operations against militants in the name of Fitna-ul-Khawarij and Fitna-ul-Hindustan and praised the clearing of several hideouts of militants in Balochistan.
He said that the operations will continue till the end of the foreign-backed and aided terrorism.
The President said that the sacrifices and services of our security forces in the war against terrorism are a source of pride for the entire nation.
