After the delay in PTI’s long march, the roads from KP to Islamabad were opened.

ISLAMABAD – Roads from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Islamabad have reopened after the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) postponed its planned long march for a week. The march, which was earlier scheduled for September 27, will now depart from Peshawar on October 4.

Traffic on the GT Road at Khairabad in Attock has been restored after four days, while the work to remove obstructions from the Peshawar-Islamabad M1 Motorway is in progress.

Sandbags, iron sheets and containers were placed on the highway as part of efforts to prevent PTI’s long march from reaching Islamabad.

Traffic flow has also returned to normal on the entry routes of Punjab in Taxila, while the CPEC road remains closed in Mianwali.

Despite the postponement of the September 27 march, the number of containers around Islamabad’s red zone has increased.
